2 Hour Course
Course Overview
This two hour course has been specifically designed to reduce the risk of fire through the promotion of fire safety awareness and basic fire training for care workers. This course is designed for persons who may have to use phased or horizontal evacuation and maybe required to use a fire extinguisher whilst at work. This course will provide all candidates with greater fire safety awareness and is designed to increase their confidence in the action to take in case of a fire occurring.
Course Content
- Theory of combustion and causes of fire
- Hazard spotting
- Peep’s
- Phased / horizontal evacuation
- The way to fight fire, including
- Types and correct use of fire extinguishers
Candidates will use a live situation to learn how to use fire extinguishers correctly and safely.
The Fire Safety Course can be undertaken in your workplace to reduce downtime.
Outcomes
Staff will gain a greater awareness of the risks of fire and will have more confidence to deal with a fire situation.
